A school counsellor with an amazing husband, three wonderful kids and a mixed-breed puppy with serious exercise needs, planning vacations and time at the cabin and working on some new writing projects – this was 42 year-old me just a couple of months ago.
Then, colorectal cancer came to call, and things slowed down. I had appointments and treatments and surgery and lots of learning to do. I’m figuring out how to balance physical recuperation and emotional well-being. I’m spending time just being a mom and a wife and a daughter and a sister and a friend – enjoying the company of those I care about.
And I’m writing. A lot. Writing restores me, makes me feel like me again.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. This is a new forum for me and I’m really excited about it.
Maybe you, too, are dealing with a cancer diagnosis. It’s overwhelming and scary, but it’s not the end.
Remember… cancer happens, life continues, find your balance.
